Gianni’s Italian Bistro launched in 2012. A culmination of Gianni Bartoletti’s extensive culinary experience and passion for food and wine, along with Melanie Bartoletti’s dedication to nonprofit and charitable work, Gianni’s is the favorite spot for locals to gather for a delicious meal in the heart of the community. Serving contemporary food inspired by every region of Italy, Gianni’s family-owned and operated bistro aspires to deliver high-quality, sophisticated flavors in a down-to-earth atmosphere.

Our Story

Gianni Bartoletti, hailing from Northern Italy, attended culinary school in Stresa, a countryside town beside Lake Maggiore. Equipped with a passion for food and culinary expertise, Gianni traveled the world, crafting one-of-a-kind dining experiences everywhere he went, and eventually made his way to the San Francisco Bay Area. There, he met and married Melanie Bartoletti in 2011, and the pair launched Gianni’s Bistro in 2012. Melanie, the award-winning Founder and Director of SonRise Equestrian Foundation, knew that Gianni’s could be a powerful contributor to the local community. With Gianni’s restaurant background and Melanie’s passion for charity work and community-building, the Tips for Change program was developed to support local nonprofits through regular fundraising nights at the restaurant. Gianni’s raises over $100,000 for local charities every year, giving back to the gracious community that has allowed the restaurant to thrive for more than a decade.
